Privacy policy

The short version
- Your memories, photos, voice notes and your children’s details stay on your phone. We don’t receive them.
- We collect your email (to sign you in) and, unless you switch them off, scrubbed crash reports and simple usage counts.
- We never sell your data, show ads, or collect anything from children.
- Printing is the one time pages leave your phone, and only after you agree for that order.
- You can delete your account and everything in it from the app, or by emailing us.
1. Who we are
Jelly Memories (“Jelly”, “we”) is an app and website made by Jelly Works. Contact us at privacy@jellymemories.com.
2. What stays on your device
Everything you put into Jelly (memories, text, photos and video copies, voice notes and their transcripts, people and children’s names and birth months, tags, locations, face-matching data and book drafts) is stored in an encrypted vault on your device. We do not receive it. Your device’s own backup (for example iCloud Backup or Google One) may include the vault, under your device provider’s terms.
When encrypted backup and Family Circle launch: copies of your memories will be end-to-end encrypted on your device before upload, with keys held only on your and your family’s devices. We will store data we cannot read. We will update this policy and notify you in the app before these features turn on.
3. What we collect

You can turn crash reports and usage counts off at any time in Settings → Privacy.
4. What we never do
- We never sell or “share” your personal information for cross-context advertising, and we show no ads.
- We never read, scan, or use your memories to train AI models.
- We never collect personal information from children. Accounts are for adults 18 and over.
5. Children
Jelly is made for parents and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 18 for accounts). Information parents record about their children stays on the parent’s device and, in future, is end-to-end encrypted so we cannot read it. If you think a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
6. Face matching
Face matching is optional. If you turn it on, face data is created and stored only on your device, is never uploaded or synced, and can be erased in Settings at any time.
7. Who we share with
We use these service providers, each under a data processing agreement, and only for the purpose listed on our transparency page: Apple, Google, Supabase, Cloudflare, Sentry, PostHog, Resend, and, when those features launch, RevenueCat, Stripe and Prodigi. We may disclose information if the law requires it; because memories are end-to-end encrypted or stay on your device, we cannot disclose their content.
8. Printing
When you order a printed product, the pages you chose and your shipping details are sent to our print partner after you agree on the consent screen. Details are on Printing & your privacy.
9. This website
This website uses no advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. We measure visits with cookie-free, aggregated analytics from Cloudflare. If you join the launch list or email us, we use your email only for that purpose.
10. Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or to export it. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other US states with privacy laws, and people in the UK and EU, have these rights under law. Email privacy@jellymemories.com; we reply within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for using your rights. To delete your account, see Delete your account.
11. Security
We use encryption, access controls and two-factor authentication to protect information. No system is perfect; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires. See Security.
12. International transfers
We are based in the United States. Some providers process data in the US, UK or EU (for example, usage counts are stored in the EU).
13. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Older versions are available on request.
